Tell Me Your Plan
Milo hears “bridge” and “tunnel” at the same time. Help him slow down, check what Ari means and find the goal hidden inside each idea.
Start mission
What we practice
- Listen for the important part of another person’s idea.
- Check understanding with a short summary or question.
- Accept speech, pointing, drawing or a communication aid as ways to share a plan.
Practice Listening Without a Quiz
Use two simple drawings so listening means understanding, not sitting still or repeating every word.
What helped Milo hear the reason behind Ari’s bridge? How could he check if words are hard to use?
1. Draw two different ways for a toy to cross a line on paper. 2. Each person shares one important part using words, pointing or a picture. 3. The listener offers a one-sentence summary and asks if it is right. Let the speaker correct it. Do not require eye contact, still hands or exact repetition. Stop if either person wants a break.
