Save for a Goal
Milo keeps one paper token and chooses a four-token kite goal. Help him make a small, flexible saving plan.
Start mission
What we practice
- Choose a pretend saving goal and check how many tokens it needs.
- Track small amounts without treating speed as success or failure.
- Ask an adult when the plan or information is unclear.
Make a Flexible Pretend Goal
Practice a visible goal and small steps without tying money to obedience or promising a purchase.
How will we show each small step? What would make you want to keep, change or pause this goal?
1. Draw an imaginary goal and four boxes. Use buttons or paper tokens, never medication, food or small choking hazards. 2. Add one counter at a time and mark a box. Let the child point, count with help or stop. 3. Introduce a second drawing and model checking whether the first goal still matters. Changing or pausing is allowed. This is not an allowance system or a purchase promise; adults remain responsible for real saving and expenses.
