Pause and Show a Grown-up
The message returns with a countdown and “answer now.” Help Milo and Ari pause, keep the message visible if safe, and use words, a gesture or a help card to involve a grown-up.
Start mission
What we practice
- Pause when a message adds pressure or asks to keep a secret.
- Use speech, pointing or a help card to ask for adult support.
- Let the adult decide whether to close, save or check the message.
Practice a No-Blame Handoff
Make it easy for a child to bring an uncomfortable message without fearing punishment or a quiz.
Which adult response made it easier for Milo and Ari to ask for help? What other signal could your child use?
1. Draw a pretend message screen and a help card. 2. Let the child choose words, pointing or handing over the card. 3. Respond, “Thank you for showing me. You are not in trouble. I will handle the account.” Do not demand a full retelling or use the practice to inspect a real account.
