Check the Background
The art-only photo seems ready, until Milo spots a name card and pickup note at the edge. Help the group check before an adult shares.
Start mission
What we practice
- Look at the whole frame for names, locations, schedules or other private details.
- Ask a grown-up to move, cover or retake the picture before sharing.
- Let adults decide where and whether a child’s picture is shared.
Play a Background Detective Game
Practice noticing private details with invented cards; keep real family information out of the activity.
What can hide at the edge of a picture? Who decides whether the final photo is shared?
1. Draw a pretend scene and add cards labeled “full name,” “school,” “street,” or “pickup time,” using no real details. 2. Let the child spot what should be moved before a picture is shared. Speaking, pointing or circling all work. 3. Model retaking the picture and checking who may view it. Adults control the device, accounts and final sharing. Do not ask the child to audit real family photos or disclose personal information.
