Ask Before the Photo
The chalk picture is finished, but not everyone wants to be in a photo. Help Milo ask and choose a picture that respects each answer.
Start mission
What we practice
- Ask before taking or sharing a photo that includes someone.
- Treat no, no answer, or a changed mind as a reason to stop.
- Find another way to remember the activity without pressuring anyone.
Practice Photo Choice Without Taking Photos
Use drawings or toys so the child can practice asking, declining and changing a choice without putting anyone on camera.
How could Milo remember the art if Ari does not want to be in a photo?
1. Draw a rectangle as a pretend camera frame and place two toys nearby. 2. Ask each toy whether it wants to be included; act out yes, no, no answer and a changed mind. Lower the pretend camera whenever the answer is not yes. 3. Make a picture plan that includes only the chalk art or an object. Do not take or post a real child photo for this exercise. Adults control devices, privacy settings and sharing.
